History

Marianne was a two time Softball and Academic All-American, while at the University of South Carolina and played semi-professional softball for the Budweiser Belles. She was voted "Easiest to Coach" of all athletes since 1985.

In 1992 Marianne turned her focus toward Professional Bowling and started competing in PWBA events across the country. Her talent for Bowling did not go unnoticed as she was awarded PWBA Ebonite, Bowling Digest, and WWPB "Rookie of the Year" honors in 1992. Thus, making it clear that she was on her way to the top as a Professional Bowler with PWBA. And the rest, as they say, is History.

Through the years on tour, her natural ability, dedication to the game, and knowledge of her equipment have made her one of the most consistent professionals on the tour. This has kept her rated in the top 10 players year after year.

With her outgoing nature and fun to be around attitude, Marianne has collected legions of dedicated fans all across the country.

Now in her tenth year as a Professional, and a member of the Contour Power Grips staff, Marianne is still at the top of her game and is a threat to win any tournament she enters.

From the beginning Marianne has been a naturally gifted athlete in all sports. By the age of seven she was learning to bowl and learning these lessons well enough to guide her on to a career as a Professional Bowler in the years to come. In her high school, where she was given the nickname "The Natural", Marianne excelled in Softball, Basket Ball, and Field Hockey and was a New Jersey high school All State selection in all three sports.

Marianne received a scholarship to the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training and, while still keeping her Bowling skill honed, concentrated on softball as her sport and profession while in college.
