I started taking lessons with Marianne five months ago.

My average was 140, but fell to 118, and I couldn't get it to go back. A friend recommended taking lessons from Marianne.

So I called Marianne made arrangements to meet her at the lanes I bowl. After meeting Marianne I knew she was the one to give me my lessons.

Marianne is not just a Pro Bowler, she is a person who has a passion for bowling, and when you talk to her while she is giving you your lessons, you can't help but see this in her. She doesn't make it complicated, she make it simple. What is more amazing is to watch her give lessons to children, I never seen anyone have more patience and see kids have more fun taking lessons.

My average is now up to 143, and still climbing. I am still taking lessons, because there is more to bowling then throwing a ball at pins, and those are the things I am learning now.

I have been taking lesson from Marianne for about 6 months, last year my average ended at about 186 but I was swinging my arm out and spinning the ball.

After working with Marianne just a few times I learned a 4 step approach and how to roll the ball. I have never worked with an instructor that loves what she does like Marianne.

I changed all my equipment, 3 new balls for all different lane conditions, and have learned how to play the lanes, adjusting to the lanes. For the first time since I have

been Bowling I can see that I'm getting better all the time, thanks to Marianne, I'm not where I want to be yet, but for the first time I'm on the right road.

I am now bowling in the 190's somewhere and getting better all the time, I can now look at lanes tell how to play them, I was never was able to do this before, all thanks to my lessons. I had always taken advice from anyone who had a higher average then me, well no more, I've learned that just because you bowl better.it doesn't mean you can teach.

When I think of the great teachers in my life Marianne is one of them....

I've been bowling for 48 years -- I started very young. I have always "worked on my game" and when I heard a friend was taking lessons from Marianne, I was definitely interested. I've been a fan for years and always admired her solid, simple and very strong game. I want to be like Marianne!

After bowling in Wichita, I didn't think I would ever be a good bowler. At my first lesson -- after I got over my nervousness at finally meeting her -- Marianne changed several things in my game. Amazingly, it was all very natural and comfortable. I was able to make the changes easily and found I wasn't working against myself.

At the second lesson, we worked on versatility. And in the next lesson, we'll work on equipment.

Marianne has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She's a "real" person (but still my idol!) with the personality to match her talent, and the best coach ever.

Thanks, Marianne.

You may not even remember her, but you had a big influence with her bowling.  When you first worked with her, she had an average of about a 111 and throwing a back-up ball. You took her to a ball return that wasn't being used and showed her how to hold the ball properly.  She is now at 186 and looking to bowl in college.  Her high game is 275 and series is 696 and last year made the NYS High School Finals.

Sometimes we don't thank the people often enough that deserve it.  Please consider this note a huge THANK-YOU!.

Again, thank you for the time that you have taken to help the children that are interested in the sport of bowling.

Marianne,
It's been along time since I last wrote to you, but I'd just like to send a note. You and a few other pros went to White Plains Lanes a few years ago, and gave a clinic for the kids. My daughter, Robyn was one of them.

First of all this is way over due. where do I start? I was coaching my daughter Jennifer from the time she was 6 years old. She loved bowling right from the start, she couldn't get enough. Everything was going good, her average was getting higher and higher little by little. I couldn't get my daughter to stay down during her release at the foul line. She would always stand up.  Jennifer told me she wanted to bowl for high school. So we went looking for a coach. That's when we found Marianne.  On Jennifer's first lesson with Marianne, she watched Jennifer throw 3 or 4 shots and right away she saw what Jennifer was doing wrong. Within 10 minutes Marianne had Jennifer doing everything correctly. This is why I feel Marianne is a awesome coach. We set up 4 lessons once or twice a month, and Jennifer improved faster than we both expected. She went from a 186 to a 201 average in about 7 months. Marianne is the nicest person we ever met.  For being a professional bowler herself, you would think she would be so busy that it would have been all business but Marianne also makes me feel that she is my friend and my daughter Jen's friend. It was so easy to get close to her. She also makes the lessons fun. She has a way about her to make the kids relax and not be intimidated or afraid. She will try to do anything for the people she coaches. Now I would like you to hear how Jen feels. On my first lesson I was so excited that I was going to meet a professional bowler. I couldn't wait to get there for my lesson. When I first met her she looked totally different in person than on TV. She taught me many things that improved my game, and I still have a long way to go. A few things she taught me was not to drift, how to release the ball and how to practice correctly. One of the things she told me is that it doesn't matter how many games I practice, it is the quality of the practice. This is when she taught me the dot game, which was really fun and didn't even feel like practice. The dot game is when you stand on the first dot and throw a shot and you cant move until you strike, once you strike, you move to the second dot until you make it all the way threw then you have to go all the way back. It is used to help you practice different shots. After a lesson or two I was on the computer and a box pops up saying" Hi Jen this is Marianne" well I went crazy, I was yelling in the house saying "Oh my god its the pro!"  I was so happy she contacted me. This is what I mean when I say how awesome of a person she is. If anyone wants a coach, she is the one.

Erica struggled in her junior year in high school on the bowling team. This was very unusual for Erica, she always was near or on the top of the bowling world. Pete her father was her coach since the age of four. Then thru the local bowling alley pro shop, Pete found out about the MoRich bowling camp. Which was in Pennsylvania for three days in June. Pete signed her up and she attended. That's were we all met Marianne for the first time.

She was so full of life, helpful and knowledgeable about bowling. From the start Marianne took Erica under her wing and really worked with her. Explaining every step on how to improve her

game. Erica and Marianne has alot in common, Marianne went to college on a full ride for playing another sport which is also Erica's second sport--softball. Marianne was a shortstop, Erica a third baseman. The traits in both of them were identical. Marianne sat down with Erica at lunch on the first day of the camp. Explaining how in softball you need to be aggressive and in bowling its totally opposite. They connected and bonded from that very moment on. That's when we found out that Marianne gives private lessons in Jersey. Since then Erica goes every week for 2 hours. Completely adding a new dimension to her game. Erica went from throwing the ball 18 miles an hour and throwing from the corner to the head pin. To a medium hook around 15 miles an hour. Erica has become more of a versatile player, knowing how and when to read the lanes. Marianne gave something to Erica that no one could--her confidence back. As far as Pete being her coach, Marianne made him feel very comfortable and confident to give up Erica's reins to her.

At this point Erica and Marianne has a wonderful athlete to coach relationship. This could only grow into better things.

Marianne is also helping Erica concerning bowling scholarships to colleges. She has given her enormous amount of information to help in the decision making to what college is best for Erica.

We as a family think the world of Marianne and all for different reasons, besides the fact that she is a great , caring , loving and nurturing person. Thanks alot Marianne for everything.
